Two members of Starry Chicago, Juan and Justin, participated in an important meeting in the most important periods for lighting ordinances in Chicago. Created in April of 2012 by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the City Council, The Chicago Infrastructure Trust serves the purpose of improving service to the people of Chicago as well as developing leading financial strategies to facilitate economic expansion. The group is currently working on the Chicago Smart Lighting Project in hopes of improving the quality and reliability of Chicago’s outdoor lighting. Justin and Juan wanted to have a positive influence on the project before decisions were made permanent. At the meeting both gentleman confidently shared their opinions on the matter of light pollution and gave suggestions to help resolve the issue. Articulate and thoughtful, they were successful with their speeches to their audience.
